The only way to be saved, is by believing that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. Believe, and you are saved! It is that siplme When you believe in Jesus, then you are given the Holy Spirit. You can pray and ask Jesus for more filling of the Holy Spirit if you like, but it is believing that Jesus died for your sins and believing that Jesus rose from the dead, that saves you Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or leave salvation (John 6:39-40, 1 John 5:13). The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you will be in heaven, no matter what! Please pray now: Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life! You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die.

We Need To Fast.Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wekeidncss, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?Isa 58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? After reading Isaiah 58, I went back and read the blog for Isaiah 36-41: Misunderstood. You wrote:I find that the lost world around us, misunderstands us as well. The don’t understand what we really believe in. They often think that our salvation somehow comes through a system of rituals and works rather than through our faith in Christ. This is partially because they don’t have the Spirit of God in them to guide and teach them: the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God. But, I think it is also the fault of believers. We often don’t express to the world around us the message of love and compassion that Christ offers freely to all who will receive Him.Maybe Isaiah 58:6-7 is why.Maybe there are times when instead of depriving our bodies of food, we should force our bodies to do right.I'm very thankful to all those in our church who have cooked meals for my daughter, and sacrificed their time to take her to chemo & radition.I believe that this is the kind of fast that God wants to see, and this is the kind of fast that the world needs to see Isa 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.Isa 58:9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;Isa 58:10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:Isa 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Unfortunately, in some cases this is a result of the chcurh being unwilling to support such ministries. My brother leads a para-chcurh ministry aimed at meeting the needs of the poor in our area. This ministry started as a part of the chcurh he was a part of. However, part of his vision is to meet the needs of these people and then use this as a door to present the gospel. From there he wants to be able to connect these people with a chcurh that is right for them. However, he did not feel he could do this as a part of a chcurh. Now, as one of the pastors of my chcurh I would not have any problem with this. I think that we have a great chcurh and would love for everybody in our area to be a part of it. However, it is more important to me that people be involved in chcurh then it is which chcurh they are involved with. Another problem I have seen is that chcurhes will not support such ministries if they are not a part of the vision for the chcurh. Now, certainly if the vision for the ministry conflicts with the vision of the chcurh, then it can not happen. At the very least the vision for the ministry would have to be re-evaluated to make it line up with that of the chcurh. But, if the vision of the ministry does not conflict with that of the chcurh, then we should be in support of it. I see no reason why such a ministry couldn’t be a part of the chcurh, and as you pointed out, it should be. As the Pastor of Ministries at my chcurh, it is my dream that such ministries would be spawned by our chcurh and would have an impact our community as a part of the chcurh. I believe that even as God calls people to be pastors, that he calls people to lead these kinds of ministries. Now, I believe that he calls them to lead them as part of the local chcurh. However, if these people are not allowed to lead these ministries in the context of the local chcurh, we have to expect that they will go outside the chcurh to follow their calling. After all, if you couldn’t find a chcurh that would allow you to do what God has called you to do would you just give up?
